Hewitt-Trussville's Band Programs need your help to be a success!
All High School band parents are expected to assist in at least three events each year.
(2 of those events being concessions)
All Middle School band parents are expected to assist in at least two concession events each year.
Below are several of the different types of opportunities to help out. Also, please download and read our FAQ.
Don't worry - We have fun, too!
Our concession stands provide the greatest financial support for Hewitt-Trussville's band programs.
We open concessions for all Middle School, 9th/JV, and Varsity Football Games. We also open for many outdoor track events in the spring.
Use our Sign-Up Genius link to volunteer in one of our three beautiful concession stands in our stadium on Husky Parkway. Responsibilities include taking orders, preparing food, and helping to clean up when the event is over.
MARCHING BAND CHAPERONES
We need chaperones at all away football games and competitions this season. We ask that you only sign up for 2 events at this time. If for some reason we do not fill all spots, then we will open it up for everyone to sign up for more events.
We require all chaperones to complete a background check before traveling with the band. Forms are available to be filled out at the parent preview at the end of band camp.
TRUSSVILLE MARCHING INVITATIONAL
Please use the link below to sign up for three areas in which you are willing to work. A team leader from the TMI committee will use the responses to fill positions needed and will contact you to coordinate your shift. Will we need many many volunteers to make our first annual marching invitational a success!
Parents will be needed to chaperone in 4 hour shifts. Duties include sign-in table, walking around through the student groups, keeping students rocking at all times, and to help make the ten minute hourly breaks efficient and help with clean up throughout the
Rock-A-Thon (spills, trash, etc).
We will also need volunteers to bring brooms, cleaning supplies, and vacuums for cleanup after the band room is empty.
