Hewitt-Trussville High School is located in Trussville, Alabama and is part of the Trussville City School System.  The school has more than 1500 students in grades nine through twelve. The Hewitt-Trussville High School Band Program represents over 250 student musicians and performers. The Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic and Concert Bands are co-taught by all directors.

The Hewitt-Trussville High School Marching Husky Band is an integral part of the Friday night experience during football season.  Each year, students and staff spend countless hours preparing for their Friday night performances.  The Marching Husky Band competes in several marching competitions each fall and consistently earns Superior ratings.

For concert ensembles, students are placed into one of three ability-based performing groups: Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band. The band program also offers two Jazz Bands: The Concert Jazz Band, and the Studio Jazz Band.

The HTHS Band program has received many awards as well as earned consistent superior ratings at the yearly Alabama Bandmasters Music Performance Assessment. Many students are accepted into the District IV Honor Band and All-State Bands.

In 2022, the wind ensemble performed at the Alabama Music Educator’s Association conference, and was a winner of the National Wind Band Mark of Excellence Award. In 2023, the Wind Ensemble was selected to perform at the Music for All National Concert Band Festival.
